The BAPE SK8 STA BOLD is a skate-oriented, heavier-built version of the BAPE STA, with a chunkier profile than the standard patent leather model. Buy it if you want the BAPE silhouette with more substance underfoot.
The BOLD construction thickens the cupsole and beefs up the upper relative to a standard STA, taking cues from skate shoes rather than the Air Force 1 that the original STA referenced. The STARS panel sits where a Swoosh would be.
This suits people who find the standard STA too slight, and anyone who wants a chunky sneaker that is not another dad shoe. It is the most substantial thing BAPE puts on foot.
At $500 this is the most expensive sneaker in our catalog. BAPE's Japanese production runs are small, the SK8 STA line is narrower still, and none of it reaches the volume that resale markets normally rely on.
One pair, size 11. Sizes 8 through 12 show on the selector but only the 11 is in stock. Deadstock, authenticated in hand at our Hurst, TX shop.
